Houses have gotten bigger over the years, but vacationers at Virginia’s Claytor Lake State Park find that the (highly compact) older cabins, like this classic Cabin 9, are highly livable. One reason is that the bedrooms, at 10’9″ x 10’8″, are just big enough, leaving room for a nice living room, compact kitchen and fireplace. This size bedroom allows for two twin beds or one double (“full”) with nightstands.
